If you are thinking about investing in a hotel and don't know how to get started, here are the answers! In this episode we will have Okenno and his partners Laura and Robert who will tell us when they bought a hotel in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Laura has experience in commercial construction and has developed several hotels. Meanwhile, Robert has done hospitality for about 13 years and has experience as a director of sales, area director, and general manager of different hotels and brands.
Okenno met his partners through a mastermind group and has experience in rental properties, flipping, and wholesaling. The three looked for hotels in areas they were familiar with and found the one in Lincoln, which had been on the market for a few months as an on-market deal.
They did initial underwriting, made an offer in the form of a letter of intent, and negotiated the price before having their offer accepted. Once they opened escrow, they received and analyzed all necessary data, including financials, tax returns, maintenance records, contract information, and more!

Benson was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He has also lived in other places due to his work in the Air Force, where he served for 8 years.
During his time in the military, Benson became interested in real estate investing, and subsequently joined a friend in the mortgage sales business. Through this experience, he learned about the business of remodeling and selling properties, and also became a real estate agent.
However, due to the real estate market crisis in 2008, he had financial difficulties and was forced to reinvent himself. In addition, he had a bad experience with a mentor who stole a large amount of money from him. Despite the obstacles, he's still active in the real estate field and also has a background in technology.

However, he realized that many of his students were not achieving the desired success, which led him to retire from the education sector and focus on personal development. Since then, his focus has been to help bridge the gap between where people are and where they want to be in various aspects of their lives, such as health, wellness, wealth and relationships.
